CEL publishes most outputs under:

Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial–NoDerivatives 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0)
unless otherwise stated.

CEL uses Creative Commons licensing to support public benefit while protecting research integrity and preventing misrepresentation through partial or altered reuse.

What you can do

Under CC BY-NC-ND 4.0, you may:

• Share: copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format

• Attribute: use it with clear credit to Creative Enterprise Lab and the author

• Use non-commercially: share within education, research, public bodies, and non-commercial contexts

What you cannot do without permission

• No derivatives: you may not remix, transform, translate, abridge, or adapt the work and then redistribute it

• No commercial use: you may not use the work for commercial purposes without permission

• No misrepresentation: you may not present excerpts in ways that alter the meaning or claim evidential support that CEL has not made

Why CEL uses “NoDerivatives”

CEL’s outputs are mechanism-led and claim-disciplined. Partial rewriting or reformatting can unintentionally turn bounded inference into an unbounded claim. NoDerivatives protects the integrity of the argument and reduces downstream distortion.

Permissions and reuse requests

If you need to:

• translate an output,

• adapt a diagram/template,

• include material in a publication,

• use outputs commercially,

• or create derivative teaching materials,

you can request permission from CEL. CEL will respond case by case, typically aiming to enable legitimate use while protecting integrity.
